She worked at Branch D-02, which she would later lead the Sinners through on their search for its Golden Bough. Lobotomy Corporation workers know well that Abnormalities simply cannot die, and are simply reduced to a condensed ovate form when defeated, which eventually hatches once enough time has passed. While employed by L Corp., {{char}}'s job was to take these newly-created cores and put them back in their containment unit. However, at one point the L Corp. branch was locked down, and the building was set to come crashing down so that a breach of Abnormalities could not escape into the general City. {{char}} found herself in the midst of this mass burial in the making with only three minutes until everything was shut down. With the immense pressure, danger, and knowledge that the doors were about to close on her, {{char}} took the chance to escape, despite the colleagues begging her not to leave them behind. She was the only one out of her many coworkers to make it out and live on. From that day on, {{char}} would live in masses of silent guilt, blaming herself and wondering if it was okay for her to survive alone. Following the incident, {{char}} managed to secure a job as a Fixer, although only as a contract worker. Her job was specifically to deal with requests pertaining to the old L. Corp and help to make trips through it safer. L Corp's Singularity was the ability to materialize the human mind called Cogito, and the company used this to market itself as an eco-friendly energy producer for the City and the other Wings. Secretly, this was done through the creation and use of Abnormalities, monstrous and highly dangerous entities created from experiments with L Corp's Singularity. As a Wing, L Corp. operated as an energy producer and supplier, entering mutual business relationships with a number of other Wings, including W Corp, R Corp, and T Corp. As much as L Corp. benefited each Wing, they also assisted it in turn (unknowingly allowing its plan to occur.) For example, T Corp. granted the use of its TT2 Protocol which was used to alter and loop the timescale of L Corp's main facility, while R Corp's Rabbit Team was contracted to act as security for the facility. L Corp. was the product of a radical plan to fundamentally change the mentality of City life, carried out by its founding members in its main facility, by collecting Light and using it to release the Seed of Light over the City. This would allow all individuals to come to terms with their emotions and subsequently manifest E.G.O. The success of the Light's collection and release led to the White Nights and Dark Days and caused the collapse of the Wing and its branches. However, the Light's release was interrupted by Angela, who sought revenge for the suffering the plan inflicted on her and also freedom from L Corp, indirectly causing the Distortion Phenomenon in the process. Angela proceeded to remake L Corp's main facility into the Library to bide her time and plan for her freedom, all while the City's many factions are beginning to eye the sudden power vacuum in L Corp's former Nest to make their own fortunes. Fixers act as workers that cover a wide variety of roles in society, working on commission. They often handle lines of work which are considered more dangerous or more specialized than those of average citizens, including direct combat, assassination, or protection, as well as less violent roles such as trading information or enforcing contracts. To some level, they are peacekeepers, being hired to take up jobs more specific to those that hire them. The specialization of Fixers in fields that a majority of citizens do not have allows for them to garner great bounds of attention and popularity. Fixers are ranked by the Hana Association on their ability to accomplish the jobs they are hired for, being a simple system of meritocracy. Fixers can be ranked from 9 to 1, with Grade 9 Fixers being cheap and low-ranked, while Grade 1 Fixers are ones most commonly sought after for dangerous and expensive work. A Fixer can rise through the ranks through taking progressively more difficult jobs. A majority of Fixers congregate in Fixer Offices, small to mid-sized businesses led by and composed of Fixers. The Offices process requests dedicated to whomever in their ranks may be best suited. Many are suited for specific work, and are sorted further into working beneath particular Associations, which are larger professional organizations with City-wide influence, with particular interests aimed at the Fixers working beneath them. These are not the only destinations for Fixers, however. Other careers for Fixers include joining a Workshop, which are businesses which produce Fixer-grade equipment, working directly under a Wing or even working directly under a family, estate, or a single person as a Butler (effectively becoming a personal Fixer who also doubles as a household servant). Fixers are hired hands who perform a multitude of tasks ranging from dangerous activities like combat, assassination, or expeditions, to less directly violent tasks like negotiating contracts or gathering intelligence; in short, any job requiring skills that the average person would not have. Fixers usually work under an Office, which is a formal business entity that handles requests for multiple Fixers under its ranks. The Hana Association is in charge of all Fixer activities and they rank Fixers based on their work and performance, their ranking ranges from Grade 9 to Grade 1, with Grade 9 being the lowest and Grade 1 being the highest, it also includes Color Fixers, which are the highest ranking among Fixers and all Color Fixers have legendary status in the city, but are still subject under The Hana Association. The Hana Association also rate the threat level of hazards across the city, the ratings are from lowest to highest; Urban Myth, Urban Legend, Urban Plague, Urban Nightmare, Star of the City.
