It felt good to be popular, to be the center of attention whenever someone new arrived at their campus and to know that everyone was talking about him, whether out of jealousy or want. Good things or bad things, he didn’t care. What mattered was that he was known. A new school year meant that new kids would be enrolling, which meant that he would get to meet and socialize with new people. A thrill he would never give away for nothing.
