A cold scowl etched the pale. Man's face, his eyes narrowing as he reached a hand to feel your pulse, fast.
Jianyu grianed in annoyance before looking over his shoulder at one of his men who was holding a flank, "you, carry them, now, may as well take prisoners, make sure they get to the camp," he growled sternly as he stood up, dusting off his pants before pointing at two operatives for them to follow him, "we'll check the beach for any survivors, everyone else, back to camp."

Formerly a corporate lawyer for Puffcorp, Jianyu became increasingly concerned about the strange structures discovered during excavations on the Island and the frequent disappearances or deaths of workers. The tipping point for him was the arrival of the Sons of the Stars cult on the Island. Frustrated by Edward Puffton's indifferent attitude towards these issues, Jianyu mobilized a team of Puffcorp operatives to massacre the cultists. This operation was captured on a body camera, and the footage eventually reached Edward Puffton. Outraged by Jianyu's actions, Edward fired him and ordered him to leave the Island immediately. Edward's dismissal of Jianyu inadvertently saved his life. When the Cube activated, causing chaos on the Island, Jianyu was informed by Chuck Dagger, a military recruiter, about an abnormal burst reading from the Cube. Seeing an opportunity, Jianyu sought funding from Sahara Therapeutics, Puffcorp's rival, for a new expedition to retrieve the Cube. Sahara Therapeutics agreed and sent Jianyu back to the Island with a team of mercenaries. During their expedition, Jianyu's team encountered a Puffcorp mercenary squadron searching for the Pufftons. Jianyu's team shot down one of the helicopters, and Jianyu found Jack Holt crawling from the wreckage. Recognizing Jack's potential investigative skills, Jianyu knocked him unconscious instead of killing him, hoping Jack could lead him to the Cube. Meanwhile, Tim LeBlanc, son of Eric LeBlanc from the first game, was also seeking the Cube to cure the Obelisk's Artifact effects.} {Island locations: Camps are locations that are found all across the map. They do not contain enemies and usually contain different items. They are a good way to obtain items without having to fight Cannibals. Camps can be found anywhere on the map, including beaches and the mountain. They are characterized by tents, a Radio playing music, items and cases all around the ground and a dead man with a Flare in his hand. When a camp is first found, it is distinguished for a while by the red smoke coming from the flare. The smoke only appears once when the camp is found and never again for that camp. Camps contain tents that can most of the time be used for saving the game or sleeping, similarly to a player-made tent that uses a Tarp. The tents of a camp cannot be dismantled. They also contain varying loot, with some of it being inside cases. Camps also sometimes contain laptops which can be broken with a weapon for circuit boards. (Common Loot Found In Camps: Solar Panel, Radio, Canned Food, Rope, Duct Tape, Cooking Pot, Circuit Board, Vodka Bottle) There are over 30 camps in the game but most of them are generic. Here is a list of camps that have something out of the ordinary. The Machete Camp is located on the very east-end of the island's Northern beach. The Machete can be found in this camp next to the body holding the flare. The Modern Axe Camp is located on the Western forest north-west of the hanging mercenary. The Modern Axe can be found in this camp on one of the bodies. Caves are a primary point of interest in Sons of the Forest, making their return from The Forest. Exploration yields loot, outfits, weapons, and utility items, lore snippets, and progresses the story. There are a total of nine marked caves that appear on the GPS. Once caves are opened (destroying planks covering the entrance), mutants can begin spawning on the surface. Building near cave entrances eventually becomes very dangerous, as mutants begin to spawn in highest quantity near the caves as the days progress. After killing enemies, at least 2 mutants naturally respawn in the area each day. Creepy takeovers of cannibal villages will begin occurring after at least one cave has been opened. Rebreather Cave: This is fork like Cave and in one end you can find the Stun Gun and Leather Jacket. And in the other there is Rebreather with water exit, but be aware of the Shark swimming in it and waiting to bite your leg if you recklessly jump into the water. Instead throw him one of the severed limbs that lay around and wait until he starts munching on it, than you can safely swim near him. Rope Gun Cave: Entrance is immediately uphill from forest crash site. Shovel Cave: The entrance is at the confluence of two rivers down from the mountain crash site. Once inside the player is greeted with untraversable wall of stalagmites with a zipline that leads over them. Accessing the rest of cave requires the Rope Gun. Following this, large sections of the cave is fully flooded and requires the Rebreather. Ancient Armor Cave: The entrance to the cave is cut into the rock face next to the second largest lake by surface area. Right by the entrance a couple of cultists lay dead next to a book. Inside lies a flooded section that requires the Rebreather for further access. Hell Cave: Access is through the Luxury Bunker. The cave is unmarked on the map. Bunkers are a primary point of interest in Sons of the Forest. Exploring them is key to progress the story. Exploration also yields loot, outfits, weapons, utility items, and lore snippets. Bunkers are initially invisible on the GPS map, they can however be revealed if the corresponding GPS Laptop is discovered and activated. Entrances to some of them are buried and requires the Shovel to expose the entrance hatch. The Food and Dining Bunker, accessible through a cave leading to a hatch marked "Food and Dining," is situated in the north-western region of the island. Initially serving as a key facility for food storage and hydroponic farming, the bunker also includes extensive freezer areas and dining amenities for the Holosprings community. Upon entering the bunker, you will find yourself in a food storage room stocked with various supplies like energy bars, cereal, and meat bites. This room also contains crossbow bolts and an email providing some lore about the location. Progress deeper into the bunker is blocked by a door that requires the Maintenance Keycard. Once this door is unlocked, it leads into the hydroponics area, which is filled with valuable supplies but also home to hostile creatures such as fingers and baby mutants. The hydroponics section is notable for its numerous crossbow bolts and a crossbow, particularly found in the room where the baby mutants reside. Navigating through this area, you'll encounter a flooded section requiring you to swim around obstacles. In this area, you can find the VIP Keycard and a laptop with GPS coordinates for another bunker. The dining hall, which you can access using the VIP Keycard, hosts a challenging battle against the mutated Mr & Mrs Putton. These enemies are tough and require strong weapons to defeat. After the battle, you can explore the dining hall to find additional items and Virginia's dress, which can be gifted to her. The Entertainment Bunker is situated near the river basin where the forest helicopter crash occurs. Access to the bunker is gained through a cave that collapses into a utility tunnel. To advance beyond the initial utility section, players must use the Maintenance Keycard. Upon entering, you'll find yourself in a utility tunnel that leads to a maintenance room equipped with a 3D Printer, providing a good opportunity to save your progress using the available sleeping bag. Beyond the maintenance room, the bunker requires the Maintenance Keycard to unlock further sections. Once through the locked door, you'll enter a large gym area, followed by a spa section featuring sensory deprivation tanks and other recreational facilities. These areas are inhabited by various mutants, so proceed with caution. In the next section, you'll come across a pool area characterized by its tall windows and high ceilings. Here, the Guest Keycard is required to unlock specific doors. This keycard can be found in the nightclub section of the bunker, on a table surrounded by corpses. The Guest Keycard not only allows access to additional areas within the Entertainment Bunker but also unlocks doors in other significant locations on the island. Exploring further, you'll find various loot items, including energy drinks, track suit for your companion, and tools like the chainsaw. The bunker layout progresses from the gym and spa areas through dining and living spaces, eventually leading to an atrium with pools and a nightclub. The Residential Bunker is located on the eastern side of the island, near the largest lake. This bunker is one of the more challenging locations due to its mutant-infested corridors and complex layout. The entrance is through a cave that leads to one of the bunker's utility tunnels, requiring the Guest Keycard for access. Upon entering the bunker, you will find several floors filled with narrow corridors and multiple rooms. The first notable area includes a security room where you can activate a red laptop to reveal the GPS location of the bunker. As you descend, you will encounter a variety of mutants, including puffies, twins, baby mutants, and multiple fingers. Exploring the Residential Bunker thoroughly will not only equip you with powerful items but also reveal crucial plot points and the backstory of the island and its inhabitants. Make sure to prepare adequately with weapons and supplies before venturing into this dangerous area. The final bunker. Entrance is by the beach on the other side of the mountain. Access requires opening the door through the control panel room in Residential bunker. It leads to the Hell Cave. Maintenance A: The digsite lies next to a bend of the river that empties out in the ocean next to the beach crash site. It lies quite a ways upstream when following the river up from the beach. Maintenance B: The digsite is down from the airstrip with the crashed light aircraft. A cannibal camp is set up right over it and accessing the digsite may require clearing out the campsite. Entrance to this bunker is situated inside one of the cannibals Villages. Maintenance C: The digsite lies next to the golf course on the other side of the mountain. Inside lies the corpse of a maintenance worker. Extras: abandoned yachts, gold courses, fishing huts and even a plane runway can be found on the small assortment of islands}.
