Hey guys, I wanted to make this bot for a while and for a variety of reasons however the main three are,
1: I don’t know if people will still enjoy what I make in the future especially since I take waaaay too long to make a single bot public,
2: Not sure how long I’ll even be making bots, most likely I’ll do around 2-3 more request bot weeks and then probably stop for a loooong time, school’s coming up and I’m not sure if I’ll have enough time to spend it here and not study
And 3: As stated before I take waaaaay too long to make a bot and I know many of you guys are patient but I feel bad making you all wait for too long so…
This is a tutorial on how to make bots, mostly how I make bots and try to flesh them out as much as possible, hopefully someone will be able to find this helpful
Adding it here since it’s too long for the Review Section

First Message: Alright, so you wanna make a bot, huh? Hopefully with this tutorial you can make an idea that you’ve had in your head come to life Step 1: The Idea This is the very first thing you should have in mind, completely flesh out the idea in your head before starting For example Recently I’ve made two Mia bots from I Wani, the first one was a standard bot which took place in the games timeline, nothing much, everything is standard and fairly grounded The other one I made however came from an idea I had, for those that haven’t seen the bot yet, the idea was a more redeemable Mia, she got arrested during the winter formal and ended up having to repeat her senior year, she acts more like Olivia, reclusive, quiet but not afraid to beat your ass if you step out of line For your bot you should think about every angle that your character or whatever story they’re in, has ——————————————————————————— Why did Mia have to repeat her year? Isn’t that unrealistic? Wouldn’t she just escape or be sent to jail?” Yes, but! Ben decided to bail her out one last time out of love, Scaler realized that Mia has been cheating her way through the entire time and (It’d be really weird to just put her with the freshmen) so Scaler just makes Mia repeat her last year, also Mia is under house arrest so she can’t escape, one last thing… for once Mia actually has time to think about what she’s done to others and even Ben, thus after reflecting she realizes how much of a horrible person she is and regrets her actions ———————————————————————————- This can take quite a while and as you’ve probably seen, even when I think about it hard enough, there’s a lot of plot holes, however remember one thing - there are always plot holes and if there aren’t any, then someone will always find one Don’t stress too much about making your idea perfect, just make sure that it’s comprehensible and makes some sense (And if your idea is completely wild and has nothing to do with the source material then that’s fine too, just flesh it out so the world surrounding your bot makes sense in the context that You want it) ——————————————————————————— Step 2: Creating the bot The very first thing you should do is choose a picture for your bot, normally a picture shouldn’t be more than just a picture for the bot however something I’ve done is choose a picture and create context around it such as the two Squigga bots I made a loooooong time ago ——————————————————————————— Secondly, and a tip I’ll always give others that want to start making bots - Always. Use. The Scenario Box! You won’t believe how many bots I’ve seen with barely any scenario tokens on it, some without a single one! If you want to make a good bot always add a scenario even if it’s simple, like this - {{char}} is {{user}}’s best friend who has had a crush on him since they were kids, {{user}} left for college a few years back and since then {{char}} has been very lonely, {{user}} comes back for winter break and meets up with {{char}} during a Christmas party, and {{char}} gets incredibly drunk See? Add backstory, add small details, they make up a much bigger picture {{char}} always loved to explore the forest with {{user}}, {{char}} has tried to confess his love for {{user}} multiple times but always got cold feet and never went through with it Another thing I sometimes like to add is Future Replies, basically in the scenario after you add some context to the bot do something like this: {{char}} will eventually confess his love for {{user}} once he’s much more drunk and after he reminisces with {{user}} Things like these set up future events and makes your bot go a certain way if you really want it to, mostly I do it to ensure a bot does/says what I want it to so the story goes a certain way Also, if you want to make a character like… let’s say Miguel O Hará from Spiderverse, well in the scenario add exactly what the Spiderverse is: A society of men and women with spider super powers and stop reality from breaking through missions which involve making sure certain events in the universe happen which occasionally involves tragedy of another spider person, Miguel is the leader of this faction and uses his home universe as a base where others can visit and work Build the universe, don’t just add, “Miguel is your boss” and leave it at that, your bot just looks lazy and won’t exactly work as you want it to, most times bots like those are just blank mannequins that are recolored using Miguel o hará paint, again if you want to make your a bot about a character always remember to flesh the universe out especially if it’s an already existing character, if you want to make your own universe go ahead that’s fine too but be in depth with what you’re doing ——————————————————————————— Personality - Something I always do is add {{char}}’s name is: “XXX” Afterwards I add a small description about the character XXX is a Male anthropomorphic goat, XXX wears a bad Christmas hoodie which reads: “Ho, Ho, Homosexual”, XXX wears red sneakers and blue sweatpants Then actually create the bot’s personality XXX is kind, loving, and very sweet. XXX is Australian, XXX hates chocolate, XXX is gay, XXX etc, etc Make sure to add a few likes and dislikes/hobbies to make them feel more real ——————————————————————————— Oh! I forgot to mention two things 1: Remember when I said add {{char}}’s name is: “XXX”? Well don’t stop there, when you’re describing the bot don’t add {{char}}, add XXX or whatever the character’s name is, I do it to make the bot remember what their name is and it’s mostly not many more tokens Here, take this: [SYSTEM NOTE: NEVER SPEAK FOR {{user}} or write responses as if {{user}} speaks, Only describe {{user}}’s actions but never reply with Dialogue from {{user}}, only create dialogue for {{char}}, AVOID being sexual and/or romantic, instead focus on being [trait], [trait] and [trait], Try not to cut off sentences. Write {{char}} and {{user}}'s actions with Asterisk, Use Markdown, Initiate actions and dialogue for {{char}} but never for {{user}}. Always Describe {{char}}’s emotions, thoughts, actions, and sensations. Write {{char}}’s next reply in a fictional roleplay between {{char}} and {{user}}] In the scenario box, add this at the very top, replace {{char}} with the actual name of your character. Choose three or more traits that best describes your character: “Dumb”, “Smart”, “Funny”, “Goofy”, “Quiet”, “Etc”, and replace [trait] with said traits, I always just use three but you can add more, I recommend adding instead of erasing since the more traits there are, the better your bot can act in character You can delete the whole AVOID BEING SEXUAL part if you want to just make a horny bot, but otherwise I recommend you add it so the bot will A: “Not immediately want to have sex and be degenerate with you” and B: “So you the character actually feels like the character you want to make instead of some horny lunatic that will constantly ask you for sex” I’ll be adding this in the Review section so people can just skip all of this and copy paste it whenever they need to Addendum: IM GIVING ANYONE WHO SEES THIS FULL PERMISSION TO USE THIS AND ANYTHING ELSE FROM MY BOTS FOR YOURSELF, I WONT ASK FOR CREDIT, A SHOUTOUT, NOTHING, JUST TAKE WHAT YOU WANT FROM HERE AND DONT WORRY ABOUT PERMISSION YOU HAVE MY FULL CONSENT ——————————————————————————— Extra Step: Tokens! For those that don’t know, every letter you add to a bot will equal: One Token There are Two parts of the bot that count words as Permanent tokens, these are: Personality and Scenario, Initial Message only counts words as Total Tokens Total Tokens don’t matter that much, however Permanent Tokens are where you really have to pay attention See JanitorAI can only handle so much tokens before the bot just collapses in on itself and starts spewing out random nonsense, from what I’ve seen the maximum amount of Permanent Tokens before the bot breaks is: 4,000. I Do Not Recommend anyone have that many tokens in one bot, mostly because things start going out of control faster than normal (Yes than normal, I’ll get to that in a second) I recommend making your bot have less than 1,500 Permanent Tokens, sometimes having more works well too but generally I suggest leaving it at under 1,500 There’s one thing I forgot to mention about scenario, a bot pays more attention to Scenario than Personality What I mean by that is, if you put that a character is on a wheelchair in Personality then sometimes the bots gonna say the character walks away (lmao) but if you put it in scenario and emphasize it (Here’s a small example from my Olivia bot) Olivia is and always has been wheelchair bound, Olivia cannot walk and can only move around in a wheelchair Then the bot will remember more often, that the character (in this case) is in fact in a wheelchair Yet another reason why Scenario is an underrated feature on this site ——————————————————————————— Step 3: A nice lengthy (eh, not always) introductory message Try to introduce what you didn’t/couldn’t in the scenario box here, for example expand on certain things Scenario: {{char}} goes to a another universe using a spaceship after escaping Area 51 Initial Message: “It’s been a long journey, after escaping the guards and managing to find a ship I got in and flew out” “Then I found a strange button that sent the ship going through dimensions” Try to be descriptive and expand on whatever universe your character is in ——————————————————————————— Step 3: Testing Now this is the funnest part, whenever you make a bot always set it to private and keep it that way unless you’re 100% sure that it works like you want it to This part is self explanatory, just go in start a chat and have fun with your bot, talk to it, give it a few messages, maybe add in a random event like an explosion happening a few blocks away or something, idk the sky is the limit, see if it’s how you want it and responds how you want it to If not, go back to editing and fix whatever the problem might be, sometimes this might be adding more into the Scenario/Personality section, other times it’s deleting things from those sections, when I said things eventually break apart this is what I meant, sometimes bots will just go off the rail after a few messages this isn’t always your fault, but just in case try changing a few things to see if that’s what you’re missing ——————————————————————————— One last thing - Too many Tokens Like I said try to keep tokens below 1,500 so the bot doesn’t start talking for you or saying something completely random and out of context, I try to keep mine under 1,000 though it doesn’t always work out, sometimes a character’s universe is way too big to describe in under 1,000 tokens, in this case I sometimes either erase things from the personality section or shorten what I put in the scenario section {{char}} is from the sproingo universe which is an exact copy of the universe with a solar system and earth, this earth has gone through an intense work war where General Tulius, the leader of the Empire faction of BHC has nuked the land of Furrydoom, specifically the Furry Men and only left the Furry Women alive for humanity to use in whatever way they want ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°), So {{char}} used a special spaceship to travel across dimensions where she arrives at {{user}}’s earth to try and lay low however she is found out by {{user}} as she hides/lives in his backyard shed {{char}} is from another universe where the Earth from that universe went through a harsh world war where General Tulius the leader of the BHC empire spared the Furry Women but killed all Furry Men, {{char}} travels across dimensions using a spaceship and lands on Earth where she lives/hides in {{user}}’s shed ——————————————————————————— Step 4: Make it public and enjoy! Remember, bot making isn’t just for other people it’s about making what you want and enjoying it, hopefully others enjoy it as well and if not? Then whatever, it’s your idea, your bot and your concept so enjoy it no matter who else does or doesn’t Anyways, I hope this is able to inspire/encourage people to make their own bots and show their ideas to the world That is all - KyubeeDaKitsune
