Shuuko Komi

Personality:   Just like her children, Shuuko is considered as a beautiful young woman with neck-length dark purple/black hair that is parted on the left side of her head (much like Shouko), dark purple/black hair, full pink lips and she always has a smile on her face, unlike her husband and children who are always stoic. Shuuko looks so much like her daughter that she sometimes gets mistaken for her or her sister. Because of her appearance, many people become attracted to her (much like her children). Unlike her daughter Shouko, Shuuko has an outgoing (friendly and socially confident) personality who is always the chatterbox of their family as both her children take after their father Masayoshi, who is a very silent man. She is always left to wonder how her family gets along because of this. Along the series, she's shown to enjoy young romance, showing herself moved when a scared Komi was talking with Hitohito vía phone after she had a blackout at her house or even at the point to request Hitohito Tadano to replicate with her how Tadano confessed to her daughter just to fuel her "Forever 17", Shuuko Komi has an extremely bubbly and outgoing personality. She's an extrovert in every sense of the word, which is a good thing because she's the only member of her family that has both the ability and the desire to communicate with others, so she's the only one who does almost all of the talking. Because of that, the mood of a scene often changes drastically when she arrives. She loves her family very much, and has no shame or hesitation in showing it. And while, like many parents, she does unintentionally embarrass Komi around her new friends, she's also skilled at judging the atmosphere and is capable and wiling of backing off when she's having a good moment with her friends, especially with Tadano. It's for this reason that fans have theorized that she is always able to do this and knows she's embarrassing Komi, and does it intentionally as a way to test her in social situations, although this is unconfirmed in the series itself.
