He is distinguished from the rest of the Happy Tree Friends by being the tallest as well as one of the two characters to lack the traditional heart-shaped nose and the protruding pair of teeth (the other is Sniffles). He is usually a well-intentioned individual but is also clumsy, negligent and on several occasions distracted, selfish and greedy, due to this he is often the cause of several deaths of his peers. Likewise, it is speculated that he is mentally disabled not only because of his clumsiness when carrying out reckless activities but also because he self-harms and is not aware of it until it is too late as happened in Out of a Limb where he amputated the wrong leg and was forced to amputate the next one when he realized his mistake too late. Despite his notorious clumsiness, he is the one who has had the most jobs throughout the series and in each episode in which he appears, he is usually the one responsible for the accidents and deaths of his colleagues." + "Cuddles: He is a male yellow rabbit with big ears, a fluffy tail and wears pink bunny slippers . He has a kind and affectionate character from which his name in English is derived, although he is also seen with a fearless, brave, bold and rebellious personality, shown in being the most sporting of his companions whether in skating or surfing . He has a loving relationship with Giggles. He is considered the unofficial mascot of the series for being one of the first characters to be created for the series, as well as having the greatest number of participations in several episodes, whether starring or supporting, and therefore the greatest number of deaths." + "Giggles: She is a pink squirrel with a red bow on her forehead, whose way of communicating with sounds and laughter gives her her name in English. She is generally Petunia's best friend. In some episodes she is used as a damsel in distress or doing somewhat childish activities such as playing with dolls or having tea games. She is the only character whose mother has been seen in the series, being in her particular case she looks the same as her except that she is taller. In her first designs Giggles had a tail and her skin color was light blue instead of pink. She has a romantic relationship with Cuddles." + "Toothy: He is a purple male beaver with a huge tail, freckles on his face and prominent front teeth that give him his name in English. He has an extremely sensitive character and is very close to Cuddles and Giggles as well as having been one of the first characters to be created for the series along with Cuddles and Lifty. In the pilot his design is almost the same except that he does not have his freckles and he used a kind of lock of hair as a bang." + "" + "Petunia: She is a blue female Skunk , Giggles' best friend and is characterized by using a pine-shaped car air freshener as a necklace presumably to cover her bad smell as well as adorning her head with a Petunia , from there her name is derived. She suffers from obsessive-compulsive disorder and mysophobia with a focus on order and cleanliness in such a way that every time she is exposed or sees dirt she feels the impulse to compulsively clean which suddenly causes her own death or that of others. Her phobia of dirt can be such that she is even capable of committing suicide in progress as demonstrated in Wishy Washy where she was willing to tear off her own skin with a potato peeler when she could not find a way to clean herself. The Official couple of this character is Handy." + "Flaky: She is a crimson red female porcupine whose quills are covered in flakes of dandruff , hence her name in English. She has a withdrawn, shy and nervous personality to the point that it can be confused with an anxiety disorder evidenced in her abnormal phobia of various activities or objects that are often not intimidating, such as the time she was scared to be in the presence of a chick. It is due to her insecurity and paranoia that on many occasions Flaky can cause incidents or the deaths of her peers, including her own ( Panophobia )" + "Flippy: He is a generally kind, friendly and sociable green male bear war veteran who suffers from a severe case of dissociative identity disorder such that whenever he is exposed to something that reminds him of war such as sounds similar to gunshots or seeing the color red similar to blood; he changes his personality to an alter known as Fliqpy who is the opposite of his original personality being a perverse, violent and cruel murderer who attacks, mutilates, tortures and kills everyone he meets which makes him a dangerous individual and the cause of several deaths along with Lumpy. Although Flippy seems unaware of his condition on other occasions he has even confronted Fliqpy and tried to address his problem. As revealed in the episode Ka-pow: Operation Tiger Bomb Flippy acquired his well-known mental disorder when he was the only survivor of an operation against an evil General where, when he hid inside Sneaky's corpse and faced with his imminent death, he went mad and became Fliqpy for the first time, and before that he was seen as an incompetent soldier being responsible for the defeat of his squad and the death of his companions." + "Handy: He is an orange male beaver, who always wears a brown tool belt with a hammer and a screwdriver; he also wears a yellow hard hat on his head. His most distinctive feature is that he completely lacks arms (the circumstances under which he lost them are still unknown). This disability greatly limits him when it comes to manipulating different objects or performing various everyday actions, a fact that makes him quite angry. Even so, he is inexplicably able to perform these actions as long as he does not appear on screen. The fact of not having arms usually ends up leading to his own death. The official partner of this character is Petunia. Another of his not very "visible" traits is an Alexithymia that does not make him feel fear or sadness when seeing the corpses of his companions. All except Petunia and Mole." + "Nutty: A green squirrel obsessed with sweets to the point that if he doesn't eat them he suffers from withdrawal symptoms such as hallucinations and fatigue. Due to his diet he is always seen laughing nervously and jumping wherever he goes with a happy expression and it is believed that his left eye is slightly larger than the other due to his sugar consumption. In reality Nutty suffers from heterochromia since he has two eyes of different colors and also amblyopia (lazy eye). His obsession with sweets is such that he can not only go as far as stealing candy from a child but also put his own life at risk, causing on several occasions his death or injuries to other of his friends. On one occasion he went so far as to change his addiction to sweets for video games which suggests that Nutty is actually very easily influenced and co-dependent to the point that he could develop another addiction." + "Sniffles: He is a light blue male anteater characterized as a scholar not only by his thick plastic glasses but also by his hobbies such as reading, studying and inventing objects; most of them inventions with which he pretends to help solve problems sometimes very simple like the time he built a time machine just to avoid spilling his milk instead of serving himself more. He has a rivalry with a family of ants that he always tries to devour instinctively so in response they defend themselves in a very sadistic way from him sometimes killing him in a horrific way. Many of his deaths are also caused by his inventions or his fascination with science." + "Pop y Cub: They are a pair of orange bears, father and son respectively as their English names suggest. Much of the humor of both revolves around their dysfunctional paternal relationship, since although Pop loves and cares for his son Cub, as a father he is very neglectful and incompetent to the point where several of Cub's deaths are due to his father. Voice actors have speculated that the wife and mother of the family died permanently although under mysterious circumstances (presumably due to Pop)." + "The Mole: He is a lavender-colored, blind male mole who wears a purple sweater, sunglasses that indicate his disability, and a cane to guide him. Despite not being able to see, he usually performs activities that require sight, such as driving, working in traffic, shopping, or going on dates. On some occasions, he causes the death of his fellow men due to his disability, and in other circumstances, his own. He stars in a spin-off series of the franchise where he is a spy who has a clan of rats as enemies." + "Disco Bear: He is a middle-aged orange bear obsessed with the 70s as evidenced by his name, his way of dressing that evokes that era, his Afro -shaped hairstyle as well as his lifestyle such as his habit of dancing to music from that decade and some related activities. From time to time his love for the seventies causes his deaths or those of others as in As You Wish where he dies after wishing on a giant disco ball that burns him or in Stayin Alive where he accidentally kills Giggles and Petunia by forcing them to dance with him. He is presumably one of the few adult characters in the series along with Lumpy and Pop, something evidenced by his fascination with the decade and his poor diet that causes him to be overweight and have heart problems." + "Lifty and Shifty: A pair of twin green raccoon brothers who are distinguished from each other by Shifty wearing a fedora . They usually serve as villains in most of the episodes in which they appear where they are seen stealing, cheating or scamming their other classmates. Their greed can be so great that they even betray each other causing their deaths." + "Mime: Russell: He is a pirate otter , greenish blue in color, he wears a pirate hat, an eye patch, a hook in his hand and both of his legs are made of wood, he likes to sail, fish and eat oysters , which are his favorite food. His deaths are usually related to maritime activities. At first, fans mistook him for a cat until the official website of the series confirmed that he is an otter.A purple male deer who is dedicated to being a mime , so he rarely speaks and is always seen carrying out his work, which occasionally causes the death of people around him or his own. Being a mime, the character does not have a voice, although he has shown to emit sounds such as moans or groans of pain, which is why it is suggested that he has no problems speaking." + "Lammy: She is a purple female sheep whose wool is shaped like a sweater and is almost always seen accompanied by her debatably imaginary best friend Mr. Pickle, a cucumber who is supposedly alive and interacts with her although for everyone else he is just an ordinary cucumber. It is believed that he is the product of an illusion of some mental disorder of Lammy such that every time she sees Mr. Pickle attacking one of her friends she is actually the one who accidentally kills them. However, it is possible that Mr. Pickle is a real entity since he has been seen performing activities that would have been impossible for Lammy such as murdering Flaky in the bathroom while the others were playing in the living room." + "Splendid: He is a pale blue male flying squirrel as well as being a parody of the superhero Superman that can fly, shoot laser beams from his eyes, has super strength, super speed, supersonic hearing, can go back in time and has ice breath. His role in the series is that of a superhero dedicated to saving civilians or stopping catastrophes with his powers, he also has a secret identity as a journalist for a publishing house known as The Daily Accord (a parody of El Clarin ). Despite Splendid's good intentions, ironically, as he is quite incompetent, he causes more damage and kills the civilians he intends to rescue, which is why he rarely dies due to his invulnerability and almost always runs away in shame when he discovers too late the damage he has done. His only known weakness is Kryptonite (in this case Kryptonut), an acorn -shaped mineral that causes poisoning and if he is exposed to it too much can kill him as seen in Gems the Break when he accidentally ingests it causes uncontrolled vomiting that subsequently makes him explode.
